Atchison County Tire Disposal - Continued

Free Tire Disposal Continued

Atchison County is continuing the temporary free tire disposal program due to the overwhelming demand for tire disposal in the county. The temporary program was to end after May 18th, the County Commission instructed the Solid Waste department to extend the program another 4 weeks while a long-term solution is finalized. Operations of tire disposal will continue with the same guidelines at the Atchison Transfer Station located at 8575 Neosho Rd. Atchison, KS 66002. The program will be open to accept tires each Thursday through June 15, 8:00am – 3:00pm. This program is limited to Atchison County Residents Only. Each person will be limited to 50 tires per person. Availability will be first come first serve basis, please call ahead to the Transfer Station at (913) 804-6005 to ensure they can accommodate your tire disposal need. This program does not require the tires to be processed or removed from rims. At this time, we will not be accepting large agricultural equipment tires.
