Advance Voting Requirements
- Advance voting can start as early as 20 days prior to the election.
- Advance voting in person ends at noon the day before each election.
- You no longer have to be absent on Election Day to Advance Vote.
Voters may vote in person from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Courthouse during advance voting, but must vote at their polling location on election day:

Call the County Clerk's Office (913) 804-6030 to request an application for advance voting or download an Advance Voting Application. Mail the completed form to:

Voting Deadline
For mail ballots the deadline is the Tuesday before the election.

Permanent and Assisted Advance Voting
There are two special application procedures for voters with temporary or permanent sicknesses and disabilities.
A person with a permanent illness or disability may apply at any time to the county election officer. It requires the voter to specify the nature of the permanent physical disability or illness that makes it difficult or impossible for the voter to go to the polling place to vote.

A voter who has a temporary illness or disability may apply for a ballot until 7:00 pm on election day.
A separate application is needed for each election.
