Thomas Wagner, 3rd District Commissioner, was elected
November 2004 to serve his first term as commissioner.
Commissioner Wagner is a lifetime resident of Atchison. He
served in the US Army Reserves for eleven years. He also has eleven years of
farming, cabinetry, fixture making, and carpentering experience, and worked
for Trans World Airlines for thirty-three years.
He retired as a member of the International Association of
Machinists & Aerospace Workers of America after thirty-seven years of
service.
He is a member of the Atchison County Extension Council
Board, St. Patrick’s Church, Knights of Columbus Council #818, and the
Atchison County Farm Bureau.
Commissioner Wagner and his wife, Deanna, have five
children and nine grandchildren.
