Jeffery D. Schuele is currently serving in his second term of office after winning the District 1 Election in fall 2010 and Re-Election in fall of 2014. Jeff is a life-long resident of Atchison County, born and raised on a farm south of Atchison, Kansas. Commissioner Schuele attended St. Benedict Catholic School and graduated from Maur Hill Prep High School in 1991. Commissioner Schuele has an M.B.A. from Friends University in Wichita, KS.

Commissioner Schuele and his wife, Megan are the proud parents of six children. Jeff is one of four children and his parents; Karl and Jane Schuele still operate and live on the family farm south of Atchison.

Commissioner Schuele is an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Atchison, Kansas. He is also active helping various functions of the school. He is a former Atchison County Extension Council Member helping serve the citizens of Atchison County. He currently serves on the Boards of Chamber of Commerce, Project Concern, Atchison Sports Authority & Fitness (ASAF Sports Complexes), and   Mo-Kan Regional Economic Development Council. He is also on the leadership cabinet of the new YMCA facility in Atchison, advisory boards including Live Well Live Atchison (a health initiative created to address poor county health rankings). He is on the advisory Solid Waste to improve recycling and diversion rates of trash in Atchison County, and local Agri-Tourism group. Commissioner Schuele is also a proud member of the grass roots movement and non-profit group Project Atchison, which has a mission to improve the Quality of Life in Atchison through Service Projects and Volunteerism.

Commissioner Schuele is a Crop Insurance Territory Manager for CGB Diversified Services in Atchison, Kansas that helps farmers across the region reduce their risks and increase their profits through crop insurance and grain marketing. He has over 15 years experience in AgriBusiness having worked for two Fortune 500 companies Cargill and Quaker Oats as well as AgProcessing.
