Duties and Responsibilities

The Atchison County Noxious Weeds department is in charge of selling chemicals to land owners to spray on state, county, and township lands for the control of noxious weeds and vegetation movement.  Noxious weed are identified and regulated in the Kansas Noxious Weed Law K.S.A. 2-1314 to K.S.A. 2-1333.  This department also furnishes information concerning the control and identification of noxious weeds that cause an economical loss to the Agriculture producers of Atchison County.
